South African Special Operations Tour
The South African Special Operations Tour
This tour consists of 17 (seventeen) legs, and will showcase all the Air Force Bases(AFB) still currently in use in South Africa. Although strictly not in use anymore, Durban has been included, and for the purposes of the Tour, landing will be done at King Shaka (FALE). However if you do not have the scenery for King Shaka International, you may use Durban International (FADN).
The tour consists of a mixed batch of military aircraft. Where the aircraft is not available to you, you are welcome to use something else similar in size and speed. There is a collection of short, medium and long legs (VFR and IFR), as well as some exciting and challenging take offs and landings for you to test your skills with.
Please use approved routing and airways when flying the IFR legs. Semicircular rules must also be adhered to with all legs flown.
Legs are to be flown in the order as set out. Do not continue the next leg until the previous one has been validated and approved. A short script is included with each leg to make the tour more intriguing.
Feel up to the challenge? Then start this tour today!!!
On completion of the tour you will be awarded the SA SO Tour Badge
